Robert E. Westerman

Robert E. Westerman was born in Oxford, MS on September 14, 1954 and passed away on December 26, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. His early childhood was spent in Arkansas, until his family then relocated to Shreveport. Robert was a graduate of Captain Shreve High School, and in 1977 earned his Bachelor's Degree from Louisiana Tech University. After graduation, Robert began his employment in the engineering department for the City of Shreveport, where he would come to proudly serve the City of Shreveport for 40 years, and in recent years was appointed the City Engineering Director. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing golf, family vacations, reading western novels, and spending time with his girls. Robert was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Betty Westerman, and brother R. Wayne Westerman, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Renay Westerman; daughters, Lauren Price and husband David, Brooke Chelette and husband Travis, and Melissa Morales and husband Tony; grandchildren, Madison, Alexandra, Anna Kathryn, and Trinity; sister, Cherral Mason and husband Jon; and brother, Mark Westerman and wife Lori. Funeral services for Robert E. Westerman, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel in Shreveport. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Robert Hernandez, Laura Perkins, NP, Dr. Scott Howard, and the many other medical professionals for their care and compassion.
