Rodney Thayer Kidder

  Many, LA - Rodney died peacefully in his sleep Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 in his home on Toledo Bend. Rodney was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. Rodney was injured in 1960 and despite being in a wheel chair, he graduated from LSU and worked for the Office of the Legeslative Auditor as a CPA until he retired in 1997. After retiring he moved to Toledo Bend where he maintained a camp for over 30 years. Rodney enjoyed fishing all of his life and loved the Toledo Bend area. He was active in the Catholic Church and he attended St. Joseph's in Zwolle and attended Manresa Retreat Center in Convent for many years. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Sylvia M. Kidder; two brothers, Brian & Cyndy Kidder of Slidell, LA and David & JoAnne Kidder of Slidell, LA; one sister, Melanie & Alan Gentiles of Conroe, TX. Proceeded in death by his parents Jack A and Jean C. Kidder of Baton Rouge, LA. In lien of flowers, please consider donations to Manresa House of Retreats, P.O.
