FRIERSON, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Rodney Earl Nichols, 54, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Fellowship Community Church in Gloster, LA . Officiating will be Pastor Jay Burford and Pastor Leonard Nichols. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairview Alpha, LA. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Rose-Neath Southside in Shreveport. . Rodney was born on August 2, 1959 and passed away on June 26, 2014 from a sudden illness. He was a resident of Frierson and employed with Ryerson Co. for over 20 years. He was a member of FCC and VP of DeSoto Disciples Chapter of CMA. He was preceded in death by his father, Alva Nichols; grandparents; niece, Regina Nichols Harvill; numerous aunts and uncles. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Bonnie Nichols; mother, Tommie Creduer; brothers, Mark Nichols, Wayne Nichols and wife, Susan; nephews, Matthew and Brandon; nieces, Jennifer and Colleen. Pallbearers will be Matt Nichols, Jerry Wayne Neely, Josh Nichols, Wilson Baker, Tommy Murray, James McFatter, Christy Julian, Wade Baker, John Sisson.
