Rodney "Duke" Don Davis

Graveside services for Rodney \"Duke\" Don Davis, 63, will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Monday, June 21, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Rodney was born on November 16, 1957 to Henry Don Davis and Edna Mae Gilbert in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 in Shreveport. Rodney was a carpenter. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and had a passion for hunting, fishing, his children and grandchildren. He loved life and being happy. He was an awesome father and grandfather and will be sorely missed. Rodney is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Kenneth W. Davis and wife, Cheryl; sister, Suzanne Scriber and husband, Don; son, Justin Davis and wife, Katie; daughters, Krystle Davis and husband, Billy, Drew Kennedy and husband, Caleb; and eight grandchildren. Honoring Rodney as pallbearers will be Hunter Barnett, Billy Gaston, Roger Funk, Caleb Kennedy, Hunter Gaston and Bill Dickson. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont and the staff at Intensive Specialty Hospital for all the care, compassion and support given to Rodney during his illness.
