Roger Alan Newsom

Graveside services celebrating the life of Roger Alan Newsom will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:AM at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery,1080 LA Alt 2, Shongaloo, Louisiana.

 Roger was born on November 17, 1953, in Haynesville, Louisiana and entered into rest peacefully on December 28, 2024, at his home. He served his country in the United States Navy. Roger was talented in that he could make or fix most anything, he loved dogs and kids which always brought a smile to his face.

 He was preceded in death by his parents Douglas and Faye Newsom and his younger brother, Joel Newsom.

 He is survived by his sister, Brenda Maxey, nephews, Jeremiah and Levi Newsom and Greg Austin: Newsom and Duke cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Roger to the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery Association, 489 Cowboy Morgan Road, Shongaloo, Louisiana 71072.
