Romana Ruby Tuminello
SHREVEPORT, LA - Romana "Ruby" Tuminello, 90, was born on March 10, 1924 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on June 8, 2014. A liturgy celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street. Officiating will be Father Charles Glorioso. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2300 Texas Ave., Shreveport.
Ruby was a loving and devoted sister, aunt, and great aunt. She enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her generosity and witty personality.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Rose Tuminello; her sisters, Antoinette Price and Chetta Edmiston; and her brother, John Joseph Tuminello. Left to cherish beautiful memories of Ruby are her sister, Marie Edmiston; brother-in-law, Glenn Price; sister-in-law, Stena Tuminello; nephews and nieces, Ronald and Tina Edmiston, Linda Edmiston and Debbie Strickland, Casey and Tina McGill, Jody Tuminello, Clay Price, Joseph and Celia Price, Charles and Ann Edmiston; and great-nephews and nieces, Rachael and Kristen Edmiston, Grace Anne and Sadie McGill, Michael and Sara Price, Kelli Edmiston-Morgan, and Tonya Edmiston.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the Shreveport Police Department and Ruby's neighbors, the Paikowski family, Nadeau family, and Fletcher family, as well as Dr. Paul Schuler and DeAnna Kamphuis ACNPC for their compassionate care of Ruby.
