Ronald Gene Crawford

Funeral services for Ronald Gene Crawford, 72, will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside. Officiating the service will be Richard Warren.

Ronald was born on October 16, 1950 to Claud and Katherine Crawford in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at home in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ronald was a resident of Shreveport and enjoyed his career as a master electrician. He served in the Marine Corps for four years stationed at Camp  LeJeune. He loved to fish and collect tools. He particularly loved playing with his grandchildren and telling stories to his nieces and nephews. He truly loved his family and enjoyed every minute spending time with them.

He is preceded in death by his parents and stepdad, Buck; daughter, Sarah Elaine Crawford; son, Paul Shelby Crawford; granddaughters, Andrianna Waters and Andrea Crawford; brothers, James and Buddy; and sisters, Carylon and Faye. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Gwenda Crawford; son, Ronnie Collins, Jr.; daughters, Rhonda Crawford and husband, Brian, Priscilla Bourgeois and husband, Danny, Brianna Waters, Addiline McClain;

12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two special grandchildren, Brittany Collins and Jaybo Collins; brother, Donald Crawford; sisters, Inez Johnson, Martha Cohen and Mary Crawford.

Honoring Ronald as pallbearers will be Ronnie Collins, Jr., Jaybo Collins, John Warren III, Richard Warren, Brian
Manning and George Birchfield. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kolton Collins and Steven Ray Reiley.

The family would like to express special thanks to Nightingale Hospice and their support staff. Also thanks to Freida Grammer, Tiffany Grammer, John Warren and Richard Warren for being there to help and plan my going home and everyone else that was there to help.
