Ronald Joe Long, Sr.

A visitation service for Ronald Joe Long, Sr., 71, will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with military honors beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana.

Ronald was born on November 21, 1952 in Canton, Mississippi to Charles Long and Frances Cahoon and passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ronald was awarded the national defense service medal and was a rifle sharp shooter. He worked in the oil field as a mechanic and was an avid Saints football fan. He was a loving father, loyal brother and loved President Trump.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Glenn Long. He is survived by his son, Ronald Long Jr.; sisters, Helen Liker, Sheila Decker and Penny Neuring; brother, Thomas “Buster” Decker and numerous nieces and nephews.
