Funeral Services for Ronald Bennon Waters, 68, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Joey Ketchum, pastor of Western Hills Baptist Church and Brother B.J. Maddox, pastor of Rose Park Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on December 22, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Forest Park West with military honors.
Ronald was born on September 10, 1949 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 20, 2017. He loved to hunt, fish and hang out with his friends to shoot pool.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Nina Gertrude Stephenson Waters and Floyd Bennon Waters; grandparents, Hiriam and Clara Stephenson; John and Ada Waters. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 48 years, Mary Margaret Teague Waters; sons, Troy Waters, Deymond Waters and fiancé Chasity, Shaun Waters and wife Kelli, Shane Waters and wife Mandy; grandchildren, Shelby, Harley, Chase, Taylor, Bailey, Alissa, Brianna, Cayden, Gabriel, Rennon and Kaegan; great-grandchildren, Lynlee and Trinity; sister, Barbara Laing; brother, Rick Waters and cousin, Don Waters and wife Susan, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Honoring Ronnie as pallbearers will be Rick Waters, Charles Teague, Chris Langham, Jeff O'Con, James Mericle, Jr and Devyn Metcalf.
Feel free to dress casual, Ronnie wouldn't have it any other way.
