Rosarina Marie Theres' Eichler

Funeral services for Rosarina Marie Theres’ Fontenot Eichler, 91, will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary being held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held in Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Karl Daigle.

Rosarina was born on October 7, 1932 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to Curtis and Marie Fontenot and passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She grew up in Ville Platte, Louisiana and graduated from Academy of the Sacred Heart. She retired from LSU Medical Center where she worked as a clerk. She loved to travel, read and visit with family and was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. She was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John “Jack” Eichler, Sr.; daughter, Anne Eichler; brother, Curtis Fontenot and sisters, Ann Bordelon, Estelle Hoskinson, Loretta Landry and Shirley Fontenot. Left to cherish her memory are her son, John Eichler and wife, Sharon; daughter, Kathy Keith; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express special thanks to her special friend and caregiver, Shunnica Thomas, Vital Caring Home Health, Gentiva Hospice and Suzanne Beadles with St. Joseph Catholic Church for the care and compassion given to Rosalina.
