Rose Ann Holden Johnson was born September 29, 1947, and passed from this life on June 29, 2024, in Minden, LA. She was born to H. Boyce and Louise (Hogan) Holden and raised in Springhill, LA. After college at LA Tech, Rose Ann started her teaching career and then married the love of her life, Keith. They moved around, she stopped teaching for a time, and they eventually settled in Minden to raise their family. She stayed home with the kids until the youngest was old enough for school and then resumed teaching at Webster Junior High. By the time she retired, she was the librarian there, and had taught hundreds of children.
After retirement she spent her time loving on her grandkids, teaching Sunday School and VBS at North Acres Baptist Church, teaching a Bible study group, and eating lunch with her friends. Throughout her whole life she always had a smile for everyone, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She loved her family, she loved her friends, and she especially loved her Lord. To know her was to love her, and she is loved and will be missed by many, but none more her husband of 55 years, Keith. She also leaves behind her children, Molly (Alex) Clark, Toni (Charlie) Adams, Sara (Jason) Johnson, and Scott (Bretta) Johnson. Grandchildren Caroline Clark, Joe Clark, Maddy Adams, Austin Johnson, Haylee Johnson, Austin Pyle and Hank Johnson. Sisters Eileen (Jesse) Stripland and Susan Holden. Sister-in-law Linda Hogan, niece Dana, nephew Tim, and many, many cousins, other family members, and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and other staff of Minden Medical Center that so lovingly cared for her the last few weeks of her life. Their kindness and compassion did not go unnoticed.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you consider making a donation to her favorite charity, Faith Comes By Hearing, in her memory.
There will be a Celebration of Life for her at North Acres Baptist Church in Minden on Saturday, July 6th, at 2pm. The family would like to invite all who would like to come celebrate with us.
