Rowayne Gewin Wells

Mt. Pulaski, IL - Funeral services honoring the life of Rowayne Wells, 95, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Pleasant Hill with Reverend Ed Dilworth officiating. Burial will follow in Zions Rest Cemetery in the Wallace Community, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath in Mansfield, LA on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5:30 until 7:30 PM.

Rowayne was a wife, mother, sister and grandmother living most of her life in Pleasant Hill, LA. She worked for the U. S. Postal System and retired from service in Pleasant Hill, LA. During the period of time since her husband, Jesse's, death she has resided in Springtown, TX and finally in Sherman.

Rowayne was preceded in death by parents Marion and Bonnie Gewin; husband Jesse Wells; brothers and sister Bill, Joe, Nell, and Tommie.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Judith A. Wells Burgard and husband Gary; sons Donald J. Wells and wife Brenda, David A Wells and wife Charlotte, and John Mark Wells; sisters Gwendolyn Migues and Peggy Boschert; brothers M. B. Gewin, Jr., Jack Gewin, Clarence Gewin, and Paul Gewin; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Those honoring the life of Rowayne as pallbearers will be Donald Wells, David Wells, Mark Wells, Todd Wells, Kenneth Burgard, and Andrew Wells.
