BOSSIER CITY, LA - Roy J. Capuano, 86, died peacefully on June 26, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Charles Glorioso and Msgr. Earl Provenza at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 Marshall Street, Shreveport, La on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, La.
Roy was born in Bossier City on April 12, 1929 to Michael and Lena Capuano and lived in this area all of his life. Roy worked for many years at Caddo Door and Veneer, the Army Ammunition Plant at Minden and spent approximately his last 20 working years in the family business, Peters Grocery in South Bossier, with his brother and sisters but his passion was ballroom dancing and playing the fiddle.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Suellen Gamble Capuano, sisters, Mary Capuano Peters, Vesta Capuano Peters and his brothers, Vince Capuano and Sam Capuano; nephew, Joe R. Peters and great-nephew, Michael Sirven and great-niece, Melissa Maggio.
He is survived by his sister, Josephine Capuano Peters, his sister-in-law, Rose Peters Capuano, both of Bossier City; three nieces, their spouses and families, Sonia and Dale Cassidy, Cheryl and George Sirven, and Sharon and Vince Maggio; two nephews, their spouses and families, Tommy and Debbie Peters and Mickey and Lola Capuano.
Honoring Roy as pallbearers are his nephews Mickey Capuano, Tommy Peters, Vince Maggio, Dale Cassidy, and George Sirven.
