Roy Lee Hildebrand

Shreveport, LA - Roy Lee Hildebrand was born on February 11, 1932 and entered into rest on March 29, 2015 at Christus Grace Home in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents Gady and Pearl Hildebrand; spouse Peggy Carter Hildebrand; two brothers; and one sister.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Roy D. Hildebrand and wife Pam, Bryan Lane Hildebrand and wife Carla; one daughter Tammie McCune and husband Jack; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Hildebrand severed his country 4 years in the Korean War. After returning home he pursued a career in small engine mechanics which was later known as Roy's Saw Shop in Mansfield. While living in Mansfield he was a member of Southside Baptist Church and served as deacon under Brother Alfred Mitchell. He was a current member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport.

Visitation and services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, LA. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Negreet, LA.

Those honoring Roy as pallbearers will be Waylon Hildebrand, Keith McCune, Noah Hildebrand, Hayden Hildebrand, Seth Walden, and Shad Arnold.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Doctors, and staff at Christus Highland Hospital, and to the Christus Grace Home for their love and attentive care he received during his last days.
