Ruby G. Foster

SUMMERFEILD, LA: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Ruby Goocher Foster, 77, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer, LA on Wednesday, June 10, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Brandon, officiating. Interment followed at Summerfield Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Mrs. Foster was born June 1, 1938 to Clyde and Lucille Goocher in Summerfield, LA. She entered into rest June 7, 2015 in Summerfield following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, J.C. Goocher; and two sisters, Mildred Knoll and Claudine Peebles. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, John Foster; a son, Daniel Keith Winfree of Denham Springs, LA; a sister, Nell Cline of Tacoma, WA; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Michael Hays, Andy Hays, Paul Goocher, Jr., Wade Foster, Jessy Foster and Hank Foster. For friends considering memorials honoring Mrs. Foster, her family suggests the American Cancer Society.
