Rueben H. Bryant

Homegoing services for Reuben H. Bryant, 88, will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2014, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, with Rev. Philip Wood and Rev. Richard L. Tull officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church on Monday, December 29, 2014.

Reuben was born December 5, 1926 in Logansport to Rayford and Ollie Grantham Bryant and passed away December 26, 2014 in Lufkin, TX. Rueben was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Preceding Reuben in death were his parents; sisters Lula Tabor, Eula Williford, and Glenda Pilcher; brothers Jack Bryant, Billy Ray Bryant and Gerald Bryant.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years Betty Bryant; sons Michael Bryant and wife Lynda, and Johnny Bryant; sisters Faye Dunn, LaMerle Bryant, and Ann Dietrich and husband Charles; brother Waymon Bryant; grandchildren Michael Reuben Bryant and wife Cherylon, Tammy Bates and husband Billy, David Wood and wife April, Tim Bryant and wife Beth, Philip Wood and wife Jennifer, Tina Eaton and husband Thomas, Kristina Buelna and husband Joseph, Cassandra Haire and husband Andrew, Wesley Bryant, and Gayle Gardner and husband Johnathan; a slew of great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Those honoring the life Reuben of as pallbearers will be David Wood, Tim Bryant, Wesley Bryant, Andrew Haire, Johnathan Gardner, and Joseph Buelna.
