Ruth Ann Lee

A Memorial Service for Ruth Ann "Ruthie" Lee will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Officiating the service will be Pastor Steve Munds. Ruthie was born on August 28, 1945 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Raymond A. Lewis, Sr. and Ann Trani Lewis and passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ruthie was married to the love of her life, Herbert "Leon" Lee for 49 ½ years before his passing. She loved children and was employed as a daycare worker for over 20 years. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert "Leon" Lee; sister, Lucille Lewis; brother, Jerry Lewis; nephew, Johnny Lewis and great-grandson, Jackson Griffin. She is survived by her children, Yvonne Dial and husband, Tommy, Randall Lee and Lisa Ganey; grandchildren, Christy Atkins, Chasity Hermes, Dustin Atkins and wife, April, Amber Mahony and wife, Ashley, Taylor Griffin and wife, Brittney, Kellie Lee and Kim Coberly and wife, Katie; numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Louise Book, Pam Backofen-High and Dianne Tanner; brother, Raymond A. Lewis, Jr. and numerous other extended family members. To know Ruthie was to love her, she will be truly missed.
