BOSSIER CITY, LA - A graveside service for Sally Jane Steger, 83, will be 10 a.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Sonny DePrang.
Mrs. Steger was born August 4, 1930 in Shreveport, LA, the only child of Thomas Neil McKethan and Eva Gill McKethan. She passed away on July 1, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. A lifelong resident of Shreveport/Bossier City, she was a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and attended Centenary College, majoring in art. She was a stenographer with Arkansas Fuel Oil Co. for several years. Sally along with her husband, enjoyed their camp on Caddo Lake. She loved her beautiful wooded garden, fishing and making lovely things from nature's bounty.
She is preceded in death by her parents and by her adored husband of 50 years, David Steger in March of 1999.
She is survived by sons, David Steger and wife, Becca of Bossier City, LA, Mark Steger and wife, Gail of Karnack, TX; daughter, Libby Thrower of Benton, LA; grandchildren, Ashley Fisher, Meredith Pontius, Adrienne Crawford, Dustin Thrower, Heather Thrower, Mark Adam Steger and eight great grandchildren.
