Funeral services for Sam Sparks will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Jeff Fleniken and Bro. Brian Prucey officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Ringgold, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Sam was born August 30, 1923 in Ringgold, Louisiana and entered into rest February 16, 2016 in Minden, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Sam retired from Winford Company as a heavy- duty mechanic and shop supervisor. He was a faithful member of Elm Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nell Sparks, sons Danny Ray Sparks and wife Emerjean of Sibley, Richard Sparks and wife Vicky of Bossier City, Murray Sparks and wife Janie of Minden, Mike Sparks and wife Barbara of Sibley, Darren Sparks and wife Kim of Heflin, Robert Sparks and wife Casey of Heflin, daughters Debbie Kotansky and husband Joe of Minden, Bobbie Sparks of Ringgold, grandchildren, Brian, Ben, Adam, Brittney, Preston, Kailey, Levi, Mason, Trent, Justin, Alan, Dalston, Cassie, Skylie, Colin, Payton, Melanie, David Mikel, and Jonathan, and numerous great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Adam Sparks, Ben Sparks, Brian Sparks Mason Sparks, Trent Sparks, Preston Sparks, and Levi Clark.
