A memorial service honoring the life of Samantha Gavena Ballard 65 of Logansport, LA will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 6:00pm in the Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel. Rev. Dean Register will officiate. She was born on May 22, 1949 in Hahira, Georgia. She entered into eternal rest at her residence on February 2, 2015. Preceding her in death were her parents Charlie H. Carter and Ruby Griffin Carter; grandson Justin Starling. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Samantha Brown, Ursual Jergins, Tamara Ward and Tony Powdrill; grandchildren Stephanie Trotter and husband Greg, Davena Jergins, Hayden Jergins, Mason Ward and wife Destiny, Coby Ward, Jordan Powdrill, Cole Powdrill ; special friend Juanita Amburn; and a host of friends.
