Sammie Marie Doggett

A memorial service for Sammie Marie Doggett, 76, will be held at Rose-Neath South side Chapel in Shreveport, LA on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. with Brother Marvin officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Sammie was born on April 7, 1942 to Pearl Ester Mitchell Stotts and Luther Stotts in Center, Texas and left this life to be with her Lord and Savior on May 31, 2018. She worked for the City of Shreveport Finance Department for 26 years, retiring in 2002. Sammie was preceded in death by her parents, 6 siblings and her daughter, Mary Ann Doggett. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are husband of 58 years, Maxie LeFatte Doggett; daughters, Veronica Doggett and Tina Conly; sisters, Peggy Brant; and Reba Davis and two grandchildren, Grayson and Erin Conly. Sammie was a devoted wife of 58 years and was an amazing mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family wants to give thanks to all the many doctors, nurses and hospital staff that made her last weeks more comfortable.
