Graveside services for Sammie Richard Millanix, 94, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at Forest Park East Cemetery. Officiating will be Doctor Murry Hodge. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014. Sammie was born on August 16, 1920 in Converse, LA and passed away on October 16, 2014. He was a resident of Bossier City, LA and served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed as a welder and loved sports. He was a fan of the New Orleans Saints and LSU football teams and also loved watching Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves Baseball. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dolores Mullanix; brothers, Pete, Jessie, Erin, and Jay; sisters, Bell and Modess. He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Pardue, Leilani Brown and husband Tony; sister, Virgie Boyte; grandchildren, Ewell Pardue, Jr. and wife Sharon, Charles Pardue and wife Michelle, Angela Gregory and husband Darryl, and Aaron Brown; great-grandchildren, Emily Pardue, Sarah Pardue, and Sammy Gregory. Honoring Sammie as pallbearers will be Tony Brown, Aaron Brown, Ewell Pardue, Charles Pardue, Darrell Gregory, and Sammy Gregory.Rose-Neath Southside 2500 Southside Drive318-687-1256
