Samuel "Sammy" Wayne Cangelose

Stonewall, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Sammy Cangelose, 75, will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mansfield, LA with Father Matthew Long officiating. Burial will follow at Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM with rosary at 6 PM. Sammy was born on November 27, 1941 in Coushatta, LA to Charlie and Allie Mae Cangelose and entered into rest on January 22, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. Preceding Sammy in death were his parents Charlie and Allie Mae Cangelose and daughter Melanie E. Cangelose. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years Ella M. Cangelose of Stonewall, LA; son Chris Cangelose and wife Crickett of Stonewall, LA; brother Lane Cagelose and wife Rosie of Mansfield, LA; sisters Mary E. Cangelose Laffitte of Mansfield, LA, Shelia Cangelose Goodman and husband Danny of Grand Cane, LA; brother-in-law Willie J. Melancon and wife Sandy of Grand Cane, LA; grandchildren, Candace Leigh Cangelose, Carlie Alyssa Cangelose, Tate Messina, Tommy Messina, Jason Horsley and wife Ashley, Brian Horsley and wife Lisa; and one great grandchild. Those honoring the life of Sammy as pallbearers will be Tate Messina, Bo Odom, Tommy Messina, Josh Melancon, Jeremy Locke, Nic Melancon, and Bill Pierce. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bubba Locke, Chris Locke, Lane Cangelose, Tommy Mason, Willie Melancon and Danny Goodman.
