Minden, LA Samuel E. Waller, Sr. Funeral services for Samuel E. Waller, Sr. will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church West Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Jimmy Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Samuel was born August 4, 1925 in Sarepta, Louisiana and entered into rest January 25, 2015 in Minden, Louisiana. Samuel was a decorated veteran of WWII serving as a rifleman in the Battle of the Bulge. He made an untold number of friends as a salesman and general manager of Branch Bros. Motor Company in Springhill. Samuel married Dee his partner for 71 years when they were both 16. The last couple of years of his life were spent at Town and Country Nursing Home. The family would like to thank the employees there who took such loving care of him as well as Dr. Michael Chanler. He was preceded in death by his wife Nova Dee Canterbury Waller, one sister, and two brothers. He is survived by his sons Mike Waller and wife Beverly of Minden, Sammy Waller and wife Cindy of Minden, daughter Judy Garrett and husband Mack of Sarepta, sixteen grandchildren, a number of great -grandchildren, two nieces, and a nephew.
