A graveside service for Sandra Benson Herring, 82, will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Monroe Mercer from Greenacres Baptist Church.
Sandra was born April 4, 1940 in Springhill, Louisiana to Jim Gurley Benson and Addie Mae Hood Benson and passed away on April 24, 2022 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Sandra had a passion for her God and her Lord and Savior. She loved going to her church and the fellowship shared there. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren lit up her world. Sandra always wanted to be with them and be there to encourage and support them. She enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She was a loving and caring person to her family and friends.
Sandra was married to the love of her life Oscar Herring "O.B.". They had a wonderful life together and shared a large family that they loved so much.
She was a long-time care giver for many patients. She loved each of them and their family as if it were her own.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar Britton Herring. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Viola and husband, Kenny, Brandy Donaldson and husband, Stacy, Shelley Starkey and husband Richard; sons, Scott Morgan and spouse, Rosalyn, Corey Herring and wife, Renee, Carey Herring and wife, Angie; grandchildren, Michael Doss, Dakota Morgan, Creed Donaldson, Paige Donaldson, Brittainy Williams, Logan Williams, Cassidy Williams, Piper Herring, Kylie Herring, Morgan Gonzales and husband, Matt; great-grandchildren, Kaine Gonzales, Anaya Gonzales and Immanuel Gonzales.
Honoring Sandra as pallbearers will be Kenny Viola, Stacy Donaldson, Creed Donaldson, Michael Doss, Kaine Gonzales and Joe Woods. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Hickey, Jordon Davidson, Dakota Morgan, Bobby Woods, Bruce Benson, Trey Beene, Casey Clark and Matthew Gonzales.
