Sandra Jean Scott Alexander

A memorial service for Sandra Jean Scott Alexander “Sandy,” 79, will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Independent Baptist Church, 465 Eberle Rd. in Waskom, Texas. Officiating the service will be Brother Doug Lovett.

Sandy was born June 19, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Floyd M. Scott, Sr. and Martha L. Pierce Scott and passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.

Sandy was a resident of the Shreveport area. She was a loving mother of six children, 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and was an avid gardener that loved spending time in her flowerbeds. She was a Forestry Consultant and always active. She loved holding family gatherings and loved dancing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; bother, Floyd M. Scott, Jr.; and son, Michael Shane Alexander. Left to cherish her memory is her life partner, Russell Shelton; son, Clayton Alexander, Jr. and children, Lydia, Sadie, and Jonathan; daughter, Kelley Payne and husband, David and children, Lindsay and Hunter; daughter, Tammy Dantin and children, Alessandra Simone and William; son, Shane Alexander’s children, Lyndsey, Michael, and Sarah; Chance Alexander and wife, April and children, Madalyn and Will; son, Kendall Maxey and husband, Mike and children, Mason, Madison and Michael; and 12 great-grandchildren.
