Sandra Kay Whittaker

Funeral services for Sandra Kay Whittaker, 70, will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd., Keithville, Louisiana at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Andrew Brewster.

Sandra was born on December 29, 1952 to Willie Perry Prestridge and Lillie Elaine Bassett Prestridge in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Rockwall, Texas.

Sandra was married to Russell Whittaker, Jr., and had a career in the medical field. She loved the outdoors including plants and birds.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jeffrey Davidson; stepdaughter, Shannon; sisters, Sharon Traylor and husband, Louis, Linda Perot and husband, Curtis, and Cathy Bratton and husband, Aubrey; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
