Sandra Kaye "Cricket" Wynn

A graveside service for Sandra Kaye “Cricket” Wynn, 61, will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Wynn Stevens Cemetery in Rodessa, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Jim Owens.

Sandra was born on January 10, 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana to James Vernon “Sambo” Wynn and Melvie “Blackie” Pierce Wynn and passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She lived her childhood years on Roy Road near Blanchard, Louisiana with her parents and attended Blanchard Elementary School and graduated from Northwood High School, class of 1981. After graduating, she continued to live at home with her parents caring for them until they passed away. Sandra loved and cared for them in the good times and bad times.

Sandra was a caring and loving person as her friends were her life. She loved all animals, especially cats which she had several over the years. Her passion was playing pool with teammates on the APA pool circuit. She, along with teammates, went to national tournaments in Las Vegas several times. She loved playing and her teammates and was deeply saddened when she was physically no longer able to play. She also loved watching the Saints play football.

Sandra worked several jobs over the years but was proud to have worked for Willis-Knighton Hospital for over ten years in the IT department. She will be missed by many friends, family and coworkers.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Frances Wynn Harp and Kathey Wynn Daniel. She is survived by her sister, Linda Wynn and brother, James B. Wynn.
