Shreveport, La - Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Sarah Lynn Vaughan Savage, 57, will be held at 6:30 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2015, with Bro. Larry Tucker officiating, in the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, Shreveport, LA. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from 5:30 PM until time of service at Rose-Neath. Sarah Lynn was born April 1, 1957, in El Dorado, AR, to the late James Richard and Mary Ann Cockerham Vaughan and was called home unexpectedly February 21, 2015, in Shreveport, LA. She was raised in Vivian, LA. Sarah Lynn never met a stranger, always had a smile on her face, was an amazing listener and would give you the shirt off her back. She was always proud of her nieces and nephews. Sarah Lynn would consider everyone a friend. She graduated from Caddo Community High School in 1975 and was a Star Basket Ball Player. Sarah Lynn was always level headed, kept everything under control and was very practical. She will be remembered for her loving ways and her care for everyone. Sarah Lynn was a proud breast cancer survivor for 4 ½ years. Sarah Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; her fur baby; Maggie, and mother-in-law; Corine. Left to cherish the beautiful memories Sarah Lynn leaves behind are her husband of 35 years; Bryan Savage, sister; Debbie Alexander, two nieces; Jehnna Chiasson and husband Stephen, Trissi Scaggs and husband Ryan, eight great nieces and nephews; Conner Smith, Drake Chiasson, Kaydence Smith, Raylehn Broadway, Brianna and Brittani Mobley, Brileigh and Brody Scaggs, brother; John Vaughan and wife Tanny, sister; Dessia Vaughan along with many extended family member and numerous wonderful friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Chiasson, Travis Curry, Ryan Scaggs, Sam Savage and Hank Evans. The family would life to extend their deepest gratitude to Trissi and Ryan Scaggs, Hank Evans, Phyllis Brunner, Taisha Beck and Travis Curry for the care and compassion to the family.
