Funeral services honoring the life of Seth Lee Sloan, of Mansfield, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Southside Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana, 7329 Hwy 509 Mansfield, LA 71052 . Interment will be at Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Cory Adcock with the reading of the obituary by Brother Jarrin Peeples and graveside assistance from Father John Paul Crispin. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, Louisiana, 943 Polk St., Mansfield, LA 71052, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Seth was born on September 12, 2005 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Billie Lee Sloan and Denise Claire Parro Sloan and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2021 in Logansport, Louisiana. Seth was an upcoming junior at Central High School in Grand Cane, Louisiana. Along with a 4.0 GPA, he was a member of several organizations including: National Honor Society, Student Ambassador and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Seth was a talented athlete and member of the Central High School baseball, basketball, football and track teams. In his free time, he enjoyed participating in the arts at Back Alley Theater, drawing, playing video games, spending time with friends and loving on his animals. Preceding Seth in death is his maternal grandmother, Mary Lois Parro and paternal grandfather, Robert Mercer Romines. He is survived by his parents, Denise and Billie Sloan of Mansfield, Louisiana; maternal grandfather, Herbert Parro of Thibodaux, Louisiana; paternal grandmother, Mary Lee Miller of Mansfield, Louisiana and sister, Meagan Claire Sloan and fiancé, Peyton Register of Mansfield, Louisiana. Honoring Seth as pallbearers will be Peyton Register, Justin Nash, Colby Houston, Michael Womack, Sebastian Zoulek, Dalton Russell, Colton Moore and Jacob Childress. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Central High School's basketball, baseball and football teams, Coach Kyle Martin, Coach Rhonda Martin, Coach Ernie Austin and Coach Eric Talley. The family would like to express special thanks to the Desoto Parish Emergency officials and for the outpouring of love from friends and family.
