Sharee Anne Wilson Booth

Sharee Anne Wilson Booth, a woman of remarkable strength, boundless love, and unwavering resilience, peacefully passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 67. Born on July 25, 1956, Sharee's life was a testament to the enduring power of faith, love, and laughter.

A memorial service honoring the life of Sharee will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana

Sharee, the middle child among five siblings, was born to Billy and Sue Wilson. From the tender age of three, she possessed a vibrant spirit that demanded the undivided attention of her family. Sharee would stage "shows," standing proudly on the center of her bed, drawing an imaginary billfold from her pocket, and regaling her captivated audience (usually only her mama and daddy) with make-believe stories behind each pretend photograph.  Sharee's childhood was filled with memories of summers spent cartwheeling through the neighborhood and evenings marked by hushed giggles and secrets shared with her beloved sisters.

Sharee graduated from Southwood High School in 1974 and embarked on her career as a bank teller. In 1999, she shifted gears and found fulfillment working for Conway Freight until retirement.   Sharee cherished her role as a loving mother to her  children, Dana and Jonathon.. Despite working outside the home, she took pride in keeping her home tidy and ensured that there was a  homemade supper on the table each night. She possessed an unwavering devotion to creating holiday memories, ensuring that Christmases were magical, summers filled with joy, and ordinary days infused with love and laughter.

Though life's complexities occasionally intervened, Sharee valued her family and remained always grateful for them.  She shared countless moments of joy and love with her siblings. Sharee's greatest treasures were her beloved "babies" - her grandchildren, Tate, Lola,, and Atticus, who lovingly referred to her as "Mamaw." Her world revolved around them for years until… the arrival of Leroy, affectionately known as "Baby Dog," . Leroy's unique distinction is that he  received not one, but two videos proclaiming how much she loved and missed him during her a hospital stay.  She reminded him to keep his fingers crossed cause “mama was coming home”.

Her laughter uplifted those around her.  Above all, she was a devoted child of God, embracing her faith and finding salvation through baptism as a young adult. She rejoiced in the knowledge that, one day, she would be welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior, and she looked forward to being "home."

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Wilson, mother, Sue Wilson, brother Michael, and sister Shelly. Sharee is survived by her children, Dana and Jonathon,  grandchildren, Tate, Lola, and Atticus, sister Susette, and brother Phillip, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Of course, she is also survived by her  fur baby, Leroy, the loyal, (and favored) Baby Dog.

Heaven has surely gained a special lady.

The family  wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Oschner L.S.U.
