Sharon L. Christopher

Sharon Lucille Mitchell Christopher, 66, was born on November 8, 1950 in Mansfield, LA and passed away on August 11, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. She graduated from Fair Park High School. Sharon worked at Western Electric until she left to start a family. Later, she became a licensed insurance agent and worked for a while as a dispatcher for a local trucking company. Sharon earned a degree as a Medical Assistant where she worked until she became ill. She became a Christian at Parkhurst Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Mildred Mitchell; brother, Steve H. Mitchell; and husband, Kenneth E. Christopher. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Stacey Schomburg and husband Earl and Shelby Harris and husband Jon; grandchildren, Cassidy and Chandler Crawford, Amber Smith, Alexis Harris, and Mitchell Rinaudo; great-grandchildren, Cole and Cooper Smith; sister, Barbara Burrow and husband Mike; sister-in-law, Kathy Mitchell; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Stowell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Bryan Skinner, Chip Smith, Scott Burrow, Chad Mitchell, and Russell Haynes, and family friend VJ Roppolo.
