Shaun Leone passed away at his home on January 3, 2024. Shaun was always the life of the party and lived every minute to the fullest. He was a great storyteller and could captivate any audience with a wild tale. He was big hearted and loved deeply. His two sons were his world and he was very proud of their accomplishments.
Shaun‘s mantra is best expressed in the words of Adam Sandler, of whom Shaun was a big fan, “it is really important I surround myself with people who make me happy.” Shaun did just that! Shaun loved good company especially when there was also great food. He loved crawfish boils. Shaun also loved to travel and often spoke of his travels both domestic and abroad.
Shaun was born in Bossier City, LA to Joyce and Simon Leone. He attended Holy Rosary, Evangel and Southwood. He took classes at LSUS before beginning his career. Shaun was an avid sports enthusiast and loved LSU Tigers and Texas Rangers.
Shaun often helped his father move furniture for the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Casey and Eli Leone, parents, Simon and Joyce Leone, sister, Ashley Berthelot and her husband Cody, sister-in-law, Heather Leone, several nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and many cousins. Shaun is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Leone and by his grandparents, Elva and Sam Garcie and Frances and Sevado Leone.
The family will receive visitors at Rose-Neath Funeral Home (Southside) on Sunday, January 7th from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with Rosary to follow. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118 on Monday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. with Father Kelby Tingle officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport.
Honoring Shaun as pallbearers are his sons, Casey and Eli Leone, his nephew, Jacob Leone, brother in law, Cody Berthelot, cousin, Jason Ebarb and longtime friend, Brandon Van Tiem.
Shaun will be greatly missed, but forever loved and never forgotten.
