Shawn Scott Stalson

Coushatta, LA - Shawn Scott Stalson born March 19, 1972 went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 7, 2015. Shawn was preceded in death by his father Kenneth W. Phillips of Coushatta, LA; his maternal grandparents Robert Nobles of Natchitoches, LA and Effie Treadway Nobles of Natchitoches, LA; his paternal grandparents Jewel and Donna Stalson of Colfax, WI; his grandmother Carrie Ezernack of Coushatta, LA; also his little cousin Chelsey Ayres of Coushatta, LA; one first cousin Virgie Nobles Garnett of Baton Rouge, LA.

He is survived by his mother Debra Marie Phillips of Coushatta, LA; sister Effie JoAnn Stalson Phillips and spouse Clifton of Coushatta, LA; brother Thomas Beeson and spouse Tammy of Livingston, LA; their children Jessica Copp and spouse Jeremy, Rachel Beeson, Emily Beeson, Molly Beeson, Matthew Beeson. Shawn is also survived by the two lights of his life and that is James and Rose Phillips, his niece and nephew who lived with him.

To know Shawn was to know a force of nature. It was let get it done type of attitude. In the words of his little Rose "He is her perfect Uncle Shawn" James says "He's my #1 Uncle." No one knows why in this life. It's not our place to know. We are just left with the memories that should be cherished. Shawn was a force of nature that was a blessing to go through.
