A service for Shelby Ray Jackson, Jr. will be held Thursday March 28,2024, 3:00 p.m. at Longstreet Baptist Church in Longstreet Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Charles Hall and Bro. Pascal Stowell. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd., Keithville, Louisiana.
Shelby Ray Jackson Jr. was born on February 5,1942 to Shelby Ray Jackson Sr. and Joanne Bentley Jackson in Texarkana, Texas, and entered rest on Friday March 22, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Shelby retired from the U.S. Air Force, Digital Communication Technician, Veterinary Technician with 20 years, he also retired from Louisiana Department of Agriculture in Weights and Measures after 20 years, and lastly a technician for the Louisiana State Voting Machines.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and brothers, Ed Jones, and Bill Beaty.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Connie Jackson; sons, Collin Lane Jackson, and wife Shelley, Steven Ray Jackson, Stuart Randall Jackson, and wife Kelli; sisters, Marzee Hughes and husband Randy, Angela Beaty, and wife Jane; brother, Joe D. Beaty Jr, and wife Cathy; grandchildren, Micheal Blankinship, Marissa Gortney, Maisie Byrns, and Renee Broussard, and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Jade, and Lily Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Lee, Mike Taylor, Shane Taylor, Mike Green, Danny Roop, and Jack Burford. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Ezernack and Colby Crow.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the 2nd floor West nursing staff at Willis Knighton North for their care and support.
