Sherri Denise Taylor

Minden, LA "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4 Sherri Denise Martin Taylor passed away peacefully at home on the evening of May 28^th , surrounded by loving family. Sherri was born September 29, 1962 to Mildred "Doris" Martin and Alvia "Bud" Martin of Minden. Sherri was the youngest of four children. On May 1, 1981 Sherri married the love of her life, Charles Taylor. They resided in Minden where they raised two daughters and currently have four beautiful grandchildren. Although Sherri struggled with illness for many years, you could always see her face light up when any of her grandchildren (who lovingly call her "Nana") would show up to visit her. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Sherri is preceded in death by her parents, Alvia "Bud" Martin and Mildred "Doris" Martin. We know they were waiting at the pearly gates with open arms to welcome their baby girl home. Survived by her husband, Charlie Taylor; daughters, Tori T. White and husband Clint White, and Brittany P. Taylor; grandchildren, Alexis, Zander, Kendall and Tristan; sisters, Jackie M. Hickey, Darlene Martin and brother, Dewayne Martin and many other family and friends that will miss her. Pallbearers: Blake Reeves, Brent Reeves, Bill Ford, Steve Hickey, Jerry Gearhart and Tommy Nelson Honorary Pallbearers: Mike McCoy, L.C. Peevy, and Hoyle Chanler Thank you to Ruthie Starkey and Brittany Avery (Hospice nurses) for taking such great care of our loved one. Visitation for Sherri M. Taylor will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7pm. Funeral Service will be at Rose-Neath on Friday at 2pm. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
