Sherry Hardin

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Sherry Brunson Hardin, 82, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Dr. Carl Rhoads.

Sherry was born on January 13, 1941, in Haynesville, Louisiana, and passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Sherry was a cheerleader and beauty queen. She met the love of her life, David Leon Hardin, in the eighth grade, and the rest was history. They were married for 61 years. She had her pilot’s license, and she and David would fly all over the United States and Canada. Sherry had a very successful career. She was an accountant for several local companies and owned William’s Music Company with her husband, David. She loved to quilt but loved teaching others to quilt even more. She was a feisty, kind, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and dog mom that will be greatly missed.

Sherry is preceded in death by her mother, Salanie Sherman Brunson. She is survived by her husband, David Hardin; daughters, Jo Ann Meyer and husband, Kevin, and Amy Heflin and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Madison Meyer, Morgan Meyer, Hannah Heflin, and Jake Heflin; and her dog, Sadie.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 500 Common St, Shreveport, LA 71101.
