Shirley Ann Angele went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 27, 2017. She was born in Mansfield, LA on February 19, 1938 to Edwin "Eddie" Gronville Angele and Claire Elizabeth Tyler Angele. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Mansfield. She loved the Lord with all her heart and loved her family dearly. People who knew her loved her tender heart and her sense of humor. She was a retired LA Public Health Nurse and a real estate agent. She partnered with her sister, Kay, in a mail order business for many years. She loved fishing, traveling and watching westerns. Preceding Shirley in death were her parents and a brother, Milton Edwin Angele. Shirley is survived by one brother, Herbert Clare Angele and wife, Erline Lewis Angele and four sisters, Mary Evelyn Angele Zimmerman Poarch, Betty June Angele Stalder, Judy Carol Angele and Kay Marie Angele. We will celebrate Shirley's home going on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Rose-Neath Chapel of Mansfield, LA with visitation on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Roy "Thumper" Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield, LA. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Honoring Shirley as pallbearers will be nephews, Michael and Mark Angele, James, Jody and Christopher Stalder, Richard Zimmerman, Chuck Poarch and Jody Jennings. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimers Association.
