SHREVEPORT, LA - A private memorial service for Shirley Ann Girard, 55, will be held on the beach in Galveston, TX. Shirley was born in Houston, TX on December 9, 1959 to Joseph L. and Shirley Ann Reaume Girard and passed away on September 6, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, David Shearer of Houston, TX, and Robert Girard and wife, Christy of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Sylvia Garcia and husband, Johnny of Liverpool, TX; grandchildren, Rebecca Girard, Keeln Girard, Robert Girard, Jr., Kimberly Girard, Joseph Girard, Angelica Garcia, Jon-Jon Garcia, Jinna Garcia and Alexis Garcia; sister, Melvina Girard of Houston, TX; nieces, Cassandra Garza and family, Christina Williams and family; nephew, Johnny Simmons and family. Also left are her treasured dogs, Sampson and Puddin. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Shirley was a dog groomer for numerous years. She enjoyed her dogs, watching TV and playing games on her IPad.
