Shirley J. Hubbard

Services for Shirley Jean Hubbard, 78 of Zwolle will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Zwolle. Interment will follow in the Belah Cemetery in Jena, La. Officiating will be Rev.Jerry Penfield and assisted by Rev. Wade Penfield. Mrs. Hubbard was born in Sterlington, Louisiana to John Lloyd Wishum and Ruby Jagers Wishum. She entered into rest on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Sabine Medical Center in Many, La. She was a licensed florist in Sabine Parish for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe I. Hubbard and is survived by three sons, John Dwaine Hubard and wife Kay, Carthage, Texas, James Monroe Hubbard and wife Melody, Zwolle, La. and Dennis E. Hubbard and wife Debbie of Ft. Jessup, La., one daughter, Katherine Irline Hubbard Jackson, Zwolle, La., sister, Mary Catherine Roberts and husband Harry, Jena, La., four grandchildren, Leigh Erin Hubbard Galligan and husband Bill, Providence, R.I., McLain Monroe Hubbard, Seneca, South Carolina, Edward M. Jackson and fiance' Amber D. Martinez, Shreveport, La. and Alexis Martina Hubbard, Zwolle, La. one great granddaughter, Maxine Grace Galligan, God Daughter, Brenda Frederick and God Son, Kenneth Crocker. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Gary Walsh, McLain Hubbard, Garrett Walsh III, Freddie Dahlem, Kenneth Crocker, Mike Frederick. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Asseff and John Asseff.
