Shirley A. McClaran

Shirley A. McClaran passed away on April 13, 2025, in Center Point, Louisiana. She was born on August 17, 1947, in Pineville, Louisiana to Charles B. Sparks, Sr. and Natilda Rachal Sparks. Shirley was a lifetime resident of Shreveport until her health declined.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Graveside services honoring the life of Shirley will follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. located at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA 71103. Honoring Shirley as pallbearers will be Louis Sparks, David Sparks, Michael Stroud, and Charles B. Sparks, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kevin McClaran and Eddie McClaran.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy F. McClaran; nephew, Johnny R. Stroud; brother-in-law, Donald E. Littleson, Sr.; and sisters-in-law, Bell Sparks and Ellen Sparks.

She is survived by her sister, Eva Stroud; son, Kevin McClaran; stepson, Eddie McClaran; brothers, Louis Sparks, Charles B. Sparks, Jr., and David Sparks; nephew, Michael Stroud; along with several great nieces and nephews.

The family suggests donations be made to St. Jude’s and Wounded Warriors.
