Shirley Santos

Funeral services for Shirley Grantham Santos, 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Timmy Tipton officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Shirley was born on September 22, 1937 in Logansport, LA to Preston and Manila Grantham and passed away peacefully at her home on March 8, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. Mamommy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid \"fan\" of her children and grandchildren attending almost every activity or sport in which they participated. Her grandchildren would visit Mamommy often to pick up their \"lunch money\". Shirley and Vernon enjoyed Cajun dancing as members of the Cajun Footworks dance club. She retired from the Willis-Knighton Credit Union with over 20 years of service. When she starting working for the credit union, there were only 12 members. Shirley was preceded in the death by her parents Preston and Manila Grantham and sisters Doris Hooper, Frances Atwood and Rosemary Grantham. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, James Vernon Santos; her children, Terry Santos, Mark Santos and his wife Rene\', Jayne\' Guin and her husband Randy; brothers, Edwin Grantham and Joe Grantham; and sister Avis English. Mamommy is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Chad Santos and wife Allison, Alyssa Ivey and husband Jeremy, Ashton Guin, Parker Santos and Jessica Santos; and great-granddaughters, Emmy and Sadie Santos. In her last wishes, Mamommy said she just wanted everyone to be happy. She can rest in peace knowing that her wishes were answered.
