Shirley Ann Sirmons was born on November 26, 1948 in Vivian, Louisiana. She passed away February 3, 2025. The family will host a private service in memory of Shirley at a later date. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Esterline Kessel Sirmons Cole; father, Marvin McClinton Sirmons; husband, Robert Leon Kennedy; sons, Johnny Lee Kennedy and Lloyd Wayne Kennedy; daughter, Vickie Lynn Kennedy; brother, Kenneth David Sirmons; paternal grandparents, Jessie Lee Sirmons and Oscar Hicks Sirmons; maternal grandmother, Lydia Alice Kessel; granddaughter, Amber Marie Kennedy Little; and great-grandson, Creigh Martin Little. Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Donna Hull and husband Lloyd Wayne Hull of Summerville, SC; sons, Robert Leon Kennedy, Jr. of Shreveport, LA and Jessie Lee Kennedy of Belcher, LA; sister, Linda Garza and husband Sammy Garza of Pflugerville, TX; daughter-in-law, Janice Kennedy Mooringsport, LA; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four nieces, two nephews; eleven great nieces and nephews; and eight great-great nieces and nephews. Shirley was a dietician at Glennbrook Nursing Home. She gave her life to the Lord at twelve years old, and at age eighteen, she became a member of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She loved reading the bible, listening to praise and worship music, sharing God’s word with everyone, flower gardening, sewing, and giving anything to anyone. She will be remembered best as a friendly lady with a servant’s heart. Shirley raised six children at a very young age, and she enjoyed being their mother. She loved her family and God with all her heart and was so proud to be His child.
