Shirley Lynelle Stevenson

Keithville, LA - Funeral services for Shirley "Nell" Lynelle Cowan Stevenson, 79, will be held 12 noon Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Terry P. Hearn and Brother Steve Slaughter. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at the funeral home. Nell was born March 10, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away March 11, 2015. She was a resident of Keithville, Louisiana, a homemaker and a tireless genealogist. All who knew her loved her. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Stevenson; daughter, Melanie A. Walls; brother, James W. Cowan; and parents, James L. and Magdaline N. Cowan. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Hearn (Terry), Terri Stevenson (Judy Blue), Beverly Stevenson; sister, Betty Jo Cowan Green (Bill); grandchildren, Brian Walls, Jason Walls (Kristina), Sarah McClain (Mike), Paul Hearn II (Tara), Ashley Carrero (Francisco), Jodi Brown (Johnnie); great-grandchildren, Tristan, Christopher, Shawn, Jesse, Jayden, Elizabeth, Paul, Chase, Aimee, and Erik.
