Funeral services for Sondra Ann Evans will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Sibley Missionary Baptist Church in Sibley, Louisiana with Tommy McIver officiating. Interment will follow at Old Athens Cemetery in Athens, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana Sondra was born June 28, 1950 in Homer, Louisiana and entered into rest August 2, 2014 in Sibley, Louisiana. She was a member of Sibley Missionary Baptist Church in Sibley. Her parents William Oliver and Clara Oneal Evans, first husband Russell "Pnut" Bridges, second husband Clyde "Doug" Gibson, Sr., sisters Jeanette Dalyrmple, Dorothy Joyce Calhoun and brother-in-laws Bill Calhoun, Slim Hogan, and Overton Barteet preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister Edna Oneal Hogan Barteet of Arcadia, daughters Wendy McCall and husband Kevin of Sibley, Nickie Gibson of Minden, son Clyde "Doug" Gibson, Jr. of Monroe, grandchildren Brittany McCall, Austin Anderson, Destiny Butler, and Hunter Nutt, best friend/sister by heart Barbara Heflin, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends special thanks to Sibley Missionary Baptist Church, Hillcross Hospice, Glenn and Melinda Hennigen, and Carolyn and Jerry Gates. Pallbearers will be Michael Ruthardt, Jason Perot, Jason Gates, John Gates, Dustin Smith, Ryan Tubbs, Mark Gibson, & Brad Gibson.
