SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Stanley Verdun Heinsohn, 75, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating the service will be Reverend Kendall Holley, Pastor of Broadacres Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for visitation from 3-6:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Stanley was born in Bossier City, LA, on May 4, 1941, to Verdun Leo and Susie Annie Lee Wallace Heinsohn and passed away on April 19, 2017, after a brief illness. He was a 1959 graduate of Fair Park High School. After high school he worked for Texas Eastern Transmission and Woodall Oil Company. He proudly served his country through the United States Army. For more than 36 years, Stanley enjoyed sharing his beloved Camp Coushatta with all of his friends and their children. He loved and cherished his family as he always found personal importance in each child's interests.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Glynn Heinsohn and sister-in-law, Marilyn. Left to honor his memory are his sisters, Sue Heinsohn Brossett and her husband, Larry, and Karen Heinsohn Watkins; nieces, Mary Ann Heinsohn, Shannon Brossett Holley and husband, Kendall, and children Courtlyn, Mackenzie, Keaton, and Levi, and Angela Watkins Kimbrough and husband, Bill, and daughter Annabelle; nephews, Terry Don Heinsohn and wife Rhonda, and children Jarrod and wife, Kristin, Taylor and wife Michelle, and Dalton, Chad Carroll Brossett and wife, Edith, and children, Jack, Graham, and Lily and Jeffrey Lewis Watkins and wife Heather, and step-daughters Natalie and Kathryn.
Stanley chose to donate his body to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport.
