GRAND CANE, LA - Graveside services for Stephen "Steve" Speights, 56, will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Keatchie Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Monday, August 18, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel from 5-7 p.m. Steve was born May 14, 1958 and went to be with the Lord August 15, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was a resident of Grand Cane, LA and a member of Grand Cane Baptist Church. He worked in the construction industry. Steve loved watching North DeSoto baseball games, going hunting, and being with his family. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Cleveland Speights. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cynthia Riley Speights; mother, Victoria Lee and step-father, Bob Lee; sons, Stephen Speights and wife, Elizabeth and Hunter Speights; granddaughter, Sarah Katherine Speights; and siblings, Denise Mathews and husband, Rusty, Liz Adams and husband, Michael, Alan Speights, Jonathan Speights and wife, Tanya, and Michael Speights. Honoring Steve as pallbearers will be Jason Nash, Jerad Nash, Chris Nash, Brad Mathews, Jeremy Mathews, Rusty Mathews, and Michael Adams. Rose-Neath Southside 2500 Southside Drive318-687-1256
