Steven Lindsey, beloved son, brother, father, uncle and Papaw was born September 1, 1959 in Keithville, Louisiana and died with his loving family by his side on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the age of 63. He was born to Joseph and Elsie Lindsey.
The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana. There will be a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023 held at the funeral home. Honoring Steven as pallbearers will be Tony “LIL’MAN” Lindsey, Matt Girouard, Dustin Ager, David Pickerel, Lil’Mike Hudson, Mike Hudson, Chris Coleman, Dustin Maxey, and Elijah Carter.
Left to cherish his memory include his mother, Elsie Lindsey; his best friend, Karen Girouard; his son, Tony Joe Lindsey, Sr. and his wife Sherri and their children Elise and LIL’MAN; his daughter, Bridget Lindsey and husband Dustin Maxey and children Rayce and Rylee; his brothers, Kenny Lindsey and Carl Lindsey; and his great grandson, Walker Reid Elkins and soon to be Alana Michelle Coleman. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lindsey and his brothers, Joey Lindsey and Paul Lindsey.
Steven was a force of nature always providing for his family and giving them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. A rabbit hunter, fish slayer, and a world of racing knowledge; Steven always had something to talk about. He was a loyal friend to many and he will forever be missed.
