SHREVEPORT, LA - Sue McClamroch, 65, was born September 22, 1952, in Lexington, MS to Dora Broome Edwards and Edmond A. Edwards and passed away January 25, 2018, in Shreveport, LA.
Sue was a local artist and an avid gardener, but the love of family and friends she held closest to her heart. She started the local chapter of the NAMES Quilt Project for the Philadelphia Center. Sue's passion was helping people and she will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Hershel Bickham, mother-in-law Dorothy McClamroch, father-in-law Harris McClamroch, Jr., brothers Charles Edwards and Ray Edwards, sisters Mavis George and Linda Bruce.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband David McClamroch, daughter Emily Mills and husband Daniel, Granddaughter Amethyst Joy Mills, brother Dennis Edwards and wife Pamela, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all of Sue's close friends who were there for her and also to the physicians and staff who so lovingly cared for her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
