BOSSIER CITY, LA - Sue Myers White, 96, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 8, 2015. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, in the chapel at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. David Dietzel will be officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service, from 11:30 a.m. until the service begins. Sue was born in Mooringsport, LA, where she graduated High School. She attended college at LSU; but left after her freshman year to marry the love of her life, Whitmel T. White. Together, they ventured from Mooringsport to the Bossier Parish Schools system; where Whit served for 33 years, retiring as Assistant Superintendent of Bossier Parish Schools. Sue was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Bossier City and the Parker Sunday School Class. She served as a Pink Lady at Bossier Medical Center, and was a member of the Lioness Club. She also enjoyed working at the polling area at Plantation Park Elementary School. Everyone she met thought of her as a sweet and special lady with a smile for everyone. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, William Jackson Myers and Viola Rumbaugh Myers; husband, Whitmel T. White; brothers, Archie Roland Myers, and William Jackson Myers, Jr. and sister, Elsie Pearl Moreland. She is survived by daughters, Suellyn White Knowles and husband, Thomas and Marsha White Garred and husband, Larry; son, Tom White and wife, Janice; grandchildren, Vickie Knowles Carpenter and husband, Kenneth, Nita Knowles VanTil and husband, Steve, Jennifer Evans Corley and husband, Phillip, Susan Evans Axelsson and husband, David and Robert White; great-grandchildren, Amanda Carpenter Massey and husband, Jonathan, Elizabeth Corley, Cathrine Corley, Skyler White and Elsa Axelsson. Honoring Sue as pallbearers are Carroll Traylor, Robert Dehner, Charles Varnell, Wayne Earp, Ed Carpenter and Ron Payne. Special thanks to the Parker Sunday School Class, who never forgot about her; and to the staff at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home of Bossier City, for the love and care they gave to her.
